I spent most of my early years in Europe, immersed in a visual aesthetic dominated by French Vogue and other euro-fashion magazines that my mother would leave around the house. As a result, I developed a deep fascination with color, composition, and beauty. These interests would lead me to earn a degree from Art Center College of Design and pursue a career in communication arts in Los Angeles.

Out of college, I worked in the advertising industry as an art director before discovering my true calling as a photographer. Along the way, I have been the recipient of a One Show Awards Gold Pencil as well as a Grammy nomination in the Best Recording Package design category. I also published photography for a Snoop Doggy Dog editorial in Rolling Stone Magazine and worked as an entrepreneur and senior editor of an international photo-based print magazine. In recent years, I have taught at some of the most prestigious art and design schools in the country, including the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), Otis College of Art and Design, and Art Center College of Design.

Aside from my passion for photography, I also enjoy playing guitar, cooking gourmet food, and drinking red wine. When I can, I give my time to worthy causes such as the WriteGirl Foundation, the Los Angeles Police Department charity for inner-city kids, and the Black Eyed Peas' PeaPod Foundation.

In my work, I enjoy exploring beauty, sensuality, and tension - the few things that take me back to the whimsical feelings of my childhood.
